Sire Ma's Maid Steals HK$3,000 from Bank Account, Sentenced 1 Month Jail Time

The Bullet Brain actress, Sire Ma, trusted her Indonesian maid and gave the maid her ATM pin number, so whenever she needs to withdraw money, the Indonesian maid could help her do so. Unfortunately, the Indonesian maid withdrew HK$3,000 from Sire's bank account for her personal use. Yesterday the Kwun Tong Magistrates' Court confirmed there were two cases of larceny and the defendant was sentenced to 1 month in jail. The HK$3,000 was returned to Sire Ma.

The defendant, 29 year old Ana Nurhasanah's lawyer disclosed Sire had already fired her. It all started in January when Sire hired the defendant. Sire gave her Hang Seng Bank ATM card pin number to the defendant, but she kept the ATM card herself and whenever necessary, she would give the card to the defendant to withdraw money on her behalf. On April 26th, Sire checked her bank statements and realized HK$2,000 disappeared, but the ATM card was still in her wallet. The next day, Sire discovered another HK$1,000 withdrawn from her account and this time, her ATM card was missing from her wallet.

Sire called the police on April 28th and got a WhatsApp message from the defendant. The defendant admitted she withdrew HK$3,000 from Sire's bank account. Police arrested the defendant and found Sire's ATM card under the defendant's bed.

Considers Rehiring the Defendant

Yesterday Sire accepted a phone interview, she expressed this incident happened several days ago. She said unhappy: "I'm living alone in Hong Kong. She worked for me for 3 months and handled all my daily necessities. I really trusted her. A month ago, I was too busy, so I asked her to help me withdraw some money, so she knows my ATM card pin number. I couldn't believe she stole my ATM card twice to withdraw money from my account for her personal use. The first time was HK$2,000, then she took another HK$1,000 and it was then I discovered my ATM card was missing. I asked her, but she did not admit it. I had no other choice but to call the police. She searched through my room and kitchen, she went through my clothes, handbag and makeup products. It turns out, she hid the card when I wasn't aware. I just feel very disappointed."

Sire believes many Hong Kong families hire maids. "We live in the same house; we have a close relationship, like family. I hope she learned a lesson from this incident. Stealing is a very stupid action, don't go and destroy your future. When she comes out, I will talk to her again. If she's willing to change, I will consider hiring her again. I know she has a [5 year old] son in Indonesia. If she doesn't have a job, that would be a huge financial impact on her. I hope I can help her. The most important is she cannot break the law again."

Difficult time getting out of character

In other news, Sire's current series Bullet Brain is suffering from heavy criticisms and the audience dislike her character. She said: "When I accepted this series, I already knew it differs from other TVB series. I didn't think too much, I just concentrated on my performance. My character went through several sudden and unexpected negative impact. There was one time, I had a difficult time getting out of character because I was too absorbed in the character. It was difficult emotionally. After I finished shooting this series, I took a month off, but I learned a lot from this experience and I have tried my best."

Aaron Kwok Describes Relationship Like Wearing Shoes: Doesn't Fit, Forcing it Causes Bleeding

The 'King of Dance' and Golden Horse Film King, Aaron Kwok had been dating famous model Lynn Hung since 2006, but it seems like Lynn won't be 'Mrs. Kwok' after all. Aaron had always kept his silence and wasn't willing to acknowledge her as his girlfriend. Earlier it was rumored the couple's 7 year relationship was over and TVB rising star Christine Kuo was their third party! Lynn had on a 'breakup' ring on her pinky and had been forcing a smile after losing Aaron.

It turns out Aaron was the one who ended the relationship without hesitation. Perhaps it was related to good friend Charlie Yeung! Last year Aaron starred in Charlie's first directed film Christmas Rose. The film describes the battle of human nature, which had impacted his thoughts quite a bit. A few days ago, Aaron accepted an exclusive interview and expressed the film changed his thinking. He hopes everyone can be able to undo the knot in their hearts, he feels "we shouldn't be living in an unsuitable state of mind." Aaron also expressed relationships is like wearing shoes. He implied this 32 year old, 33C cup size "shoe" (implying Lynn) didn't "fit him", causing scrapes and bleeding on his foot. He decided to "take the shoes off" and let it go. Aaron said: "It's just like a pair of shoes that doesn't fit you; your feet always feel uncomfortable wearing it. You would want to get a new pair of shoes that's more comfortable. We have to walk on a daily basis, that's just like your partner besides you. You should find one that is suitable for you before you put them on. Forcing yourself to wear the shoe will lead to bleeding, cuts and then that cannot heal. It might be better to find another pair. Think about the world of relationships in the same way!"

Aaron continued his Buddhist talk, basically explaining that "forcing a relationship brings no happiness". He's just not sure whether he could get this into Lynn's ears. "People who have gray thoughts can easily get lost. If you could think about your counterpart, hoping they could live a better life, then that is a type of release. If every individual could think this way, then the world would be a lot more peaceful."

When speaking of a scene from the film, where Aaron cries hard due to the death of his father. Aaron expressed he did not put his personal feelings into it. He thought about it in the character's perspective and frankly expressed the real him would not cry: "I am personally a strong person. No matter how sad I am, I would not have a drop of tear. I would repress my emotions inside, and would only release them in my acting." He praised Charlie Yeung's very successful first directed film.

"The Hippocratic Crush II" Films Wedding Scene

Yesterday, Him Law, Tavia Yeung, Kenneth Ma, etc. went to Tai Hang to film the new series "The Hippocratic Crush II". The storyline was about Kenneth marrying Tavia, while Him was the best man.

Him said, "In the series, also don't have intimate scenes with Eliza [Sam]...only have eye contact. (Would there be pressure with Tavia there?) Would not".

Kenneth laughingly said that he does not have kiss scenes with Tavia at all in the series, causing him to be greatly disappointed. Regarding the news about Tavia supervising, Kenneth laughingly said, "It seems that Him is watching over me and Tavia. (Did you feel that Eliza and Him have a lot to chat about?) No. Actually, my scenes are quite separate from theirs...not in the same scene much".

Moses Chan Tells Audience to Patiently Enjoy 'Beauty At War'

Although TVB series Beauty At War has more criticisms then compliments, but Netizens praised Ada Choi's outstanding performance. Yesterday she gave herself and the crew positive energy on Weibo, she wrote: "Although there is inflammation on the wound...although I don't get enough sleep each night...Although the Beauty At War ratings have not been ideal...I am still filled with confidence! I'm filled with joy! I'm filled with hope! Tomorrow will be a better day!"

Meanwhile, the rest of the cast including Moses Chan, Christine Ng, Kenny Wong, Leung Ka Kei and Rachel Kan filmed another promotional clip for the series. Regarding the low ratings for the premiere week, even lower than the sitcom Come Home Love, do they feel upset from the defeat? Moses feels the current ratings are considered ideal and he does not feel disappointed because they all had a joyous collaboration and has met his standards. He does not think the dialogue is difficult to understand. It can only be said that the series is considered an elegant drama, which requires patient listening and time to ponder. This serial differs from the typical series, Moses hopes the audience can have more patience to enjoy it.

Reporters pursued the question of whether he spent HK$40 million on a new luxury home? He expressed it is not confirmed yet, but the home does suit his likings. He said when in a relationship, of course he has hopes to get married. He hopes one day he'll have good news to announce.

Christine Ng has heavy screen time in this series, she feels there will always be supporters and people that dislike it. However, she believes when Moses enters the palace, there will be more drama and the audience's interest will gradually increase. She also praised Moses' great momentum in his portrayal of 'Dai Lo Kwoon'. Christine does not agree to the saying that spreading rumors in the palace could influence children's mentality. She believes there is no relation between the two sides. It was said the TV ratings for all 4 of Ada Choi and producer Jonathan Chik's collaborations were barely satisfactory? Christine laughed and said the media is just trying to start a topic. Ada's post-natal month is almost over and she'll be joining them for the future promotions.

Yesterday it was Kenny Wong's 50th birthday. He celebrated with his girlfriend and friends. He said he did not feel too disappointed on the poor TV ratings because it's just been the first week and its normal that the audience haven't gotten into the story yet. The audience still isn't used to it because War and Beauty left too deep of an impression. He said the series is well-received at his house, so he is not worried about the genre influencing children's mentality.

Macy Chan Says Goodbye to TVB, A New Beginning

32 year old Macy Chan ends her 6 year employment at TVB. Yesterday, the moment Macy left TVB, she stopped at the parking lot to take a picture for memories and left a message on Weibo: "Goodbye! Thanks for everything in the past 6 years! It's a new beginning." Back then, while Macy was working as a model, she was recommended by her manager to join MusicNationGroup. In 2004, Macy,Toby Leung, Elise Liu and Bella Cheung formed a group called "Girls Only Dormitory". The group launched one album Life is Beautiful. Macy later joined TVB and started filming TV series, but unfortunately her development was not ideal, but at least she met her current boyfriend Eric Suen. In 2011, Macy and Queenie Chu encountered a car accident while shooting a TVB travel show in Okinawa Japan. Macy was in the car crash and almost fell down the mountain. After the incident, Eric stood up for his girlfriend, denouncing TVB for neglecting their artists' safety. Many artists criticized TVB for their harsh treatment.

This time Macy's contract expired and she decided not to renew it, perhaps her decision is related to the previous car accident in Japan? However, it was also widely rumored that Eric intends to start a family. Maybe Macy is leaving the company because she wants to concentrate on being Mrs. Suen? Just as she said on Weibo: "A new beginning."

Macy expressed TVB gave her very good contract renewal terms, but she feels the need to reflect on her future because she's been with the company since 2004. She does not currently have any plans yet, but perhaps she will go see more of the outside world first. Her boyfriend Eric is very supportive of her decision.

Is her decision to leave TVB related to the fact that her on-screen jobs had been reduced over the last year? She expressed that is not the case. Although she does not film TVB series as often, she has participated in many variety shows. She also had many other outside jobs and opportunities to earn money such as being a MC at events. Will she consider other TV stations, such as Ricky Wong's HKTV? She stressed that thought has never crossed her mind. She wants to rest first.

Matthew Ko's second business venture

After successfully opening a children's art school last year, TVB actor Matthew Ko is planning to invest in a foot reflexology salon.

Popular Asians website reported that the "Sergeant Tabloid" actor was recently spotted at an empty shop in Wan Chai and was deep in discussion with a renovation contractor.

It was said that Matthew intends to convert the shop space into an upscale foot reflexology parlour, targeting local middle-class residents and tourists staying at a few hotels nearby.

However, due to its prime location, the monthly rental price of the shop is estimated to be more than HKD120,000. In addition to hiring professional foot reflexology masters, it is calculated that Matthew may need to fork out a 7-figure sum for his new investment.

However, an insider revealed, "Matthew has a good network, and even the renovation contractor was introduced by a friend. He has already saved a lot through all the connections."

The insider added, "He hopes the shop will be ready by May, in time for his 29th birthday!"

This is the second business venture for the actor. In 2012, Matthew invested over HKD500,000 to establish a children arts school, a business he intends to expand to the mainland China.

Steven Ma creates fresh sound

Steven Ma is now ready to make an album comeback, a decade after his last full studio album.

As reported on Jayne Stars website, the former TVB actor recently revealed that his upcoming album will have ten new songs, five in which he penned himself. One of the title's single, "An Understanding" was also released earlier in April.

The singer-actor, who has also written five books, stated that he enjoyed writing and used the experience to writing his own music this time round.

Steven expressed, "It's been many years since I last released a studio album, so I'm very excited. I never had actual knowledge about music arrangements, but fortunately, I did learn to play the electronic piano so I used it while composing at home. After recording the tunes at home, I handed them over to the music producer for it to be refined."

The 41-year-old singer also said that finding a refreshing sound for his listeners turned out to be a challenge, and added, "Each song has to have a unique style. In terms of my own singing approach, I will design a different range for each song. The producer even arranged for me to test out different microphones to capture my mid to low tones perfectly."

The actor also hopes that the sincerity injected into his new album can be felt and will be able to bring satisfaction to fans who have waited a decade for his new album.

Just For Fun: Andy Lau Finds His Childhood Again

Recently "arriving" in Hong Kong, the 16.5 meter tall giant yellow Rubber Duck has become the talk of the town and attracted many followers. Even Andy Lau Tak Wa longed to find his childhood memory again and thus deliberately discussed schedule with the event for almost two months before the "encounter". Wa Jai even changed his work schedule to accommodate the meeting.

Rubber Duck "father", Dutch concept artist Florentijn Hofman and his crew first inflated Rubber Duck at sea. Yet due to the strong wind recently, they spent a lot of time before the duck landed. Wa Jai immediately appeared to coordinate and even got along famously with "Duck Papa" Hofman as they discussed the production process and the journey. Wa Jai revealed that when he was little he had a rubber duck as well. Thus seeing the duck was like finding his beautiful childhood memory again, only the duck got bigger and he got smaller.

Meeting the duck for the first time, Wa Jai said that he never imagined it to be as gigantic as a cruise ship. With its bright colors, it lightened his mood! He also learned that Rubber Duck symbolized joy and beauty. It has visited different nations and cities to promote the message of joy. It also brought smiles to many different places. At the same time, this exhibition will raise fund for the Joyful (Mental Health) Foundation, which was very meaningful.

Aaron Kwok Flirts With Charlie Yeung

Aaron Kwok Fu Sing and Lynn Xiong (Hung Doi Lam) ended their 7 year relationship for just half a month, but they have already returned to form. Over the past dozen days or so, Sing Sing was asked about his break up with Lynn and rumors of "third party" Christine Kuo. He went from being down, upset to raging, but yesterday when he promoted CHRISTMAS ROSE (SING DAN MUI GWAI) he was in good spirits as he often flirted with Charlie Yeung Choi Nei. Freedom is truly joyous!

Sing Sing presented a rose birthday cake to the May birthday girl Yeung Choi Nei, who will turn 39 on May 23rd -- the film's opening day. Sing Sing wished for her to win the Hong Kong Film Award Best New Director with her directing debut. "Although I wasn't nominated for the Hong Kong Film Award, I still wish her well." Was not being nominated a huge setback? Sing Sing cracked up and said, "I don't worry about the past. I too want to be a film director. Will I win the Hong Kong Film Award Best Actor before directing? You can't calculate that, I won't win! I am better off keeping my feet on the ground and work."

Yeung Choi Nei did not ask Sing Sing to charge less for salary, he even got a raise because of his low salary. "I too made a lot of sacrifice, turning down other jobs, smoking for the movie and even got pneumonia from a water scene. The most regrettable was the director didn't put on a bikini and get into the water with me." He suggested that if the film would be a huge box office hit, Yeung Choi Nei would wear a bikini to thank the viewers who he would take photos.

Nick Cheung Almost Drown In Sinking Car

Nick Cheung Ka Fai recently worked on the Universe new film METAMORPHOSIS (SO DUK). Director Benny Chan Muk Sing asked more and more of him. Two days ago they even shot a scene in which Ka Fai was trapped inside a sinking vehicle. Some stills immediately were unveiled online. The water pressure forced Ka Fai's face against the glass. After successfully escaping his head was crushed in the gap of the door and he could suffocate for real at any moment. Many said that he was professional but urged him to be careful.

Ka Fai however could not be calmer. "I have made action scenes for years. If I feel I can't do it, I definitely wouldn't force anything. However the sea water was very cold, which was the most memorable. Chan Muk Sing was great. With my safety in mind he had a boat on stand by. The crew had underwater cameras and dove into the sea to capture the most convincing side. I thought the results were great."

Chan Muk Sing's heart ached for Ka Fai. "Maybe due to a storm, the temperature was very low. He was in the water for several hours and his teeth were chattering. Many crew members told me not to shoot for so long. I felt the danger there was even more serious than being trapped in the car. Actually I already accepted several takes. Ka Fai was the one who asked if he could try again. He really is very responsible and professional."

Ka Fai while busy with METAMORPHOSIS also took time to participate in his new film MMA (GIK JIN)'s post production voice work. Actually the film had a 10 minute trailer for the Cannes Film Festival to attract overseas buyers. Ka Fai and Aaron Kwok Fu Sing's film CONSPIRATORS (TUNG MAU) almost reached HK$10 million, no wonder Ka Fai happily said, "I am very satisfied with such a performance, thank you everyone for the respect and the support."

Steven Ma Denies Looking Down On Evergreen Mak

Yesterday Steven Ma returned to TVB for the costume fitting of new series Property Protector (tentative title) along with Maggie Siu, Tavia Yeung, Evergreen Mak, Natalie Tong and the rest of the cast. Steven expressed he had already promised Catherine Tsang a year ago to participate in a series and plus this series is produced by Leung Choi Yuen, there will be even more chemistry.

Steven disclosed he'll be launching a new album at the end of June, and will be holding his first mini concert at the KITEC in July. He does not plan to invite any guest performers and the proceeds earned from the concert ticket sales will go to charity. "I've been singing for several years, but this is my first time holding a concert. I truly enjoy singing and will keep on singing." It was rumored there will be a new season of Apprentice Chef. Steven frankly expressed Catherine mentioned it when they were discussing the contract, but haven't gotten to the details yet. If time allows, he does have interest to be part of the new season, but the earliest is next year.

It was said Steven doesn't think Evergreen is qualified enough. Steven stressed he didn't make a face at Evergreen that showed disdain. They personally have a very good relationship and are very good friends. Evergreen also defended: "Crazy. We have a very good relationship. I will forever address him as '3rd brother', while addresses me as '2nd brother' (Their roles from Where the Legend Begins). Nobody can incite our relationship. I just laughed off the rumor when I heard it." He also expressed he feels happy having the opportunity to officially collaborate with his TVB Artistes Training class classmate, Maggie Siu.

Steven disclosed the initial plan was for him to come back and collaborate with Bobby Au-Yeung: "We were suppose to be in another modern series, but because of his health condition, they changed the plans and turned it into a pre-modern series."

Tavia Denies Relationship is in a State of Emergency

Tavia laughed and said in all of the series she collaborated with Steven in, they have never had a happy ending. This time, she hopes they'll have a happy ending. It was rumored Eliza Sam has intervened in her relationship with Him Law and now their 'sister-brother' romance is in a state of emergency? Tavia expressed: "Emergency? How so? That's nonsense. I understand the magazines don't have much to report lately, but I don't think 'capturing an affair' is a good wording to use." Tavia said she and Heung Heung are friends, the photos published on the magazine are just from the series. That day, the three of them were on the set, it was not "capturing an affair on the set" at all. The magazines came up with a story just by looking at the photos. Does Tavia have confidence in Him? "We get along happily. He is a person worthy of my trust. I just know that the emergency is I really have to go the restroom, I don't know what the so-called romance in a state of emergency is. (Does Him have feelings for Heung Heung?) I have a very good feeling on Heung Heung."

'Bullet Brain' Doing Poorly, Sire Ma: I Have No Regrets

Sire Ma, Wayne Lai and Natalie Tong's TVB series Bullet Brain has not been getting ideal TV ratings. Producer Lee Tim Shing frankly expressed he does feel unhappy: "I'll be lying to you if I said no! We reflected on this before, it turns out having the audience sit still and watch a TV series in 2013 is not possible. Even my TV series fans/friends have said they didn't understand [the story]. I just wanted to put my efforts into producing a new type of series, but the housewives miss a few episodes and won't understand what's going on. I won't blame anyone, I just feel a little unhappy inside. I told Wayne Lai and Pierre Ngo not to feel disappointed. (Old cat burns its whiskers?) I can't concede, traditional things, I don't know how to do."

As the artist, Sire Ma enjoyed the filming process: "I am inexperienced, but I try my best in every performance. The sentimental and action scenes were a challenge to me. I have no regrets. (The public wants to cut the series?) That is not my decision. I cannot control the TV ratings and the public's reaction." Wayne Lai expressed if everyone believes its not good, then do better next time. In the series, Natalie isn't selling her pretty face, rather her 'rotten face', she expressed Bullet Brain is a new attempt. She said: "Perhaps people like me as a well-behaved girl more, and its difficult for the audience to accept something new. It requires slow adjustment. There will only be improvements when there are criticisms."

'Bullet Brain' Criticisms: Wayne Lai Praises Audiences' Expectations Went Up

Yesterday Wayne Lai was at a costume fitting for No Reserve. In regards to the average ratings of his latest series Bullet Brain, he felt this is a good test: "I wasn't aware that the audiences' expectations increased enormously. This series still has a lot of explaining to do. We cannot neglect rationality just for the sake of creating a drama effect. This is my first time getting such heavily criticisms, I cannot guarantee that every series gets better every time nor will I feel unhappy because of the criticisms."

Last night, Pierre Ngo attended an event and defended the series as well. he expressed the heavy storyline between him and Wayne still hasn't started yet. There were several difficult scenes to film too, such as getting bruises all over and rolling down the stairs. Because the crew didn't want to use the same overused plots, they tried something new and unexpectedly it's not receiving well. Netizens are saying that series should be cut, Pierre did not feel unhappy about that.

Sam Hui Performs With His Late Brother

Sam Hui Koon Kit two nights ago performed a concert in Macau. He was so excited that he left the stage twice to be close to the fans. As usual he graciously gave female fans kisses as requested.

In his 60s, Sam not only continued to wear leopard print clothing and stage decorations but also paired his hits with current events and entertainment news to poke fun at politicians and artists. He even displayed many family photos and asked fans if his two grandsons were cute.

Sam reserved a special segment to remember his friends and family. He first performed WHO CAN RELATE in memory of his friend Leslie Cheung Kwok Wing; he said that they have worked together on many movies. During the shoots they would chat. He praised that although he did not know music he could come up with melody in his head. later he played some videos of Ricky Hui Koon Ying and sang a duet MERCILESS NIGHT COLD WIND with him. Sam said with some sorrow, "Life truly is unexpected, here I am reminded of my favorite brother Hui Koon Ying. He has already passed for 17 months. We used to share the stage constantly. The film BLIND DETECTIVE (MAN TAM) is director Johnnie To Kei Fung, Andy Lau Tak Wa and Sammi Cheng Sau Man's "reunion" after 10 years. The film's first series of hardcore stills were released yesterday. Playing a female police officer Ho Ka Tung, Sammi's face was covered in blood. She and a topless and wild haired maniac fought inside an old factory, the eerie atmosphere was chilling. Standing aside, the blind detective Lau Tak Wa due to vision problem had no way to help Ho ka Tung and looked very helpless. Sammi was not a fight scene expert. She said, "The most important is relax my body, the result is decent."

BLIND DETECTIVE earlier was selected for the 2013 Cannes Film Festival Midnight Screening and the trio have already made plans to appear in Cannes together.

Wong Kar Wai's Eyes See Rare Daylight

"Born wearing a pair of sunglasses", internationally renowned director Wong Kar Wai rarely has been without his sunglasses. Yesterday this Grand Master of directing tried on glasses at an optical store. Actually Wong Kar Wai was as selective with his glasses as with his movies. He even showed his eyes while his wife became the "female Wong Kar Wai" and put on sunglasses.

Whether you like Wong Kar Wai's movies or not, everyone know that "Wong Kar Wai" and sunglasses were almost inseparable "conjoint twins". Earlier Eric Tsang Chi Wai described Wong Kar Wai as "born wearing sunglasses" when Wong presented the Professional Spirit Awards at the Hong Kong Film Award. However, the Big Director also had moments when he was without his "beloved".

Yesterday Wong Kar Wai went to pick out a pair of glasses at a Causeway Bay optical store. After over a hour of choosing he finally left the store with his wife. If not for his height, he almost could not be recognized as Big Director Wong without his sunglasses. Meanwhile, Mrs. Wong put on sunglasses like a female version Wong Kar Wai.

Johnson Lee's Practical Joke Really Scared Sire Ma, Viewership Rapidly Increases

Johnson Lee, the host of the new TVB show Office of Practical Jokes, has been quite a hit since its premiere. Many have complimented the show and it has accumulated 43,000 views on tvb.com's myTV (currently 109,172 views). Last night, Johnson teamed up with Oscar Leung, Penny Chan and Mak Ling Ling from the Big Boys Club to pull a huge practical joke on Sire Ma. They made it out like they were really recording for a new episode of Big Boys Club, but with a frightening twist. They started off scaring Sire in the make-up room with the television suddenly turning on by itself; then they were on air and played "pen fairy" (筆仙), but the pen started moving on its own; a sudden white towel flew across the background; the lights suddenly went out; a strange figure appeared behind the cameras; and finally what really scared Sire to death was when Johnson started breaking down as if some spirit went into his body and then a panda bear came up behind Sire scaring her off her seat.

Johnson said over a phone interview, even if there is a season 2, it won't happen this year. He said: "Because preparing for this show has really worn me out. On average, each episode takes me a whole month to think about. Now I'm thinking when I should treat everyone a meal. (Fear someone might attack you?) After the premiere aired, I went back to TVB and nobody wanted to get near me. They thought there were cameras rolling. Actually, we completed 7 episodes and that was it for the show."

Cherie Chung considers Love In The Buff Sequel

Cherie Chung Chor Hung has been retired from film for years but her glory remains as strong as ever. Director Pang Ho Cheung is interested in asking her to return for the LOVE IN THE BUFF sequel (CHUN GIU YU JI MING YUT GA), to play Shawn Yue Man Lok's mother and reunite with Fat Gor Chow Yun Fat as a pair. Hung Goo two nights ago at a party said that she needed time to consider and would be interested in making movies with positive energy and about environmental protection.

Hung Goo two nights ago was asked about Yue Man Lok's earlier response that Hung Goo should play his lover in the new film. Hung Goo sweetly smiled and responded, "I don't dare! Although I haven't seen LOVE IN THE BUFF yet, I am still paying attention to his movies. Am I interested? You have to ask the director. I need more time to consider. I am not afraid of how tough film production is because when I do something I like I wouldn't feel it's tough. Consideration factors include the script, the director and my schedule. If Fat Gor agrees then it would be the best!"

Hung Goo feels that the current Hong Kong film industry needs a new generation of actors and directors to take the lead. She saw the variety at this year's Hong Kong Film Award and was very touched. "The Hong Kong film industry is starting to recover, with many good movies productions. Only then can more filmmakers be trained." Full of acting experience Hung Goo humbly said that she did not have the ability to be a boss and invest in film, and she did not know how to direct. "Be a boss and invest? I am not that noble and don't have that ability. I haven't been in touch with film for too long and never thought about directing. I still like film and appreciate all the beautiful memories that it has given me. Which type of script would be attractive to me? Something with positive energy and subject about environmental protection would be the best. Normally I like to watch documentary films but never thought about making one myself." Aside from directors, Hung Goo also has paid attention to the new generation of actors but did not name anyone in praise. She said that she was not qualified to give newcomers any guidance.

Joel Chan proposed to Florinda again

After reports saying that controversial couple Joel Chan and Florinda Ho have patched things up, it was recently rumoured that the former TVB actor has lately proposed to his heiress girlfriend.

Asianpopnews website reported that according to a mutual friend, Joel, who rushed to London after hearing that Florinda was ill due to food poisoning, used the opportunity to woo her back by taking care of the casino heiress attentively.

The source reported that Florinda, softened by Joel's gesture, finally agreed to reconcile. However, the actor used the opportunity to propose to her again.

The source stated, "Joel proposed to Florinda and asked for a chance to take care of her for life. Florinda was moved and called her mother Ina Chan to discuss. However, Ina was strongly against their marriage and Florinda had no choice but to shelve the wedding aside."

It was alleged that Stanley Ho's third wife has reservations about Joel, but chose not to object for her daughter's sake. But after learning that Florinda has invested in Joel's fashion business, and has spent a lot of money on him, she was very supportive of Florinda's decision to end the relationship.

The source continued, "After hearing about the reconciliation, Florinda's mother has been calling her repeatedly and urging her to return home, but Florinda has turned a deaf ear to her mother's requests and even chose to ignore her calls."

Meanwhile, according to reports, this was not the first time in which Joel had proposed to Florinda. The ex-TVB actor has been proposing numerous times to Florinda for the two years they have been together, but was rejected as the latter felt that she needed more time to understand each other.

Shawn Yue reveals: No Contact with Lynn Xiong

Shawn Yue Man Lok and Miriam Yeung Chin Wa two nights ago attended the fashion brand UNIQLO flagship store opening. The 39 year old Hong Kong Film Award Best Actress Chin Wa was dressed like a school girl, which Ah Lok poked fun of as being very young. Chin Wa admitted that the look pleased Real Ting Chi Go. "Hubby thought it was very fresh, he liked me to dress simply."

Ah Lok was confident that his girlfriend Kary Ng Yu Fei would look good as a school girl. "She looks great however she dresses." Christine Kuo was rumored to have become involved with Aaron Kwok Fu Sing. Did Ah Lok's buddy Sing Sing bring Lady Kuo to meet his friends? He said, "No, we are busy with our own things and haven't seen each other for awhile. Lynn didn't mix well with Sing Sing's friends? Only believe half of what you read. Don't listen with your ears, just believe what you see with your eyes. I don't concern myself with my friends' personal lives." Has he been in contact with Lynn? Ah Lok finally said, "I haven't really been in contact with Lynn."

Chin Wa asked Ah Lok what he would do if his future wife would not get along with his friends? Ah Lok said, "It would be the best if she would be able to, but if not I wouldn't force anything. When two people are together they have to accommodate each other. Can Kary mix with my friends? She is mixing! Give her some time! Even snow takes time to melt!"

Reportedly Cherie Chung Chor Hung could not accept playing Jimmy's mother in the LOVE IN THE BUFF sequel (CHUN GIU YU JI MING YUT GA) and joked that she was not qualified to play Jimmy's lover. Ah Lok said, "Hung Goo is too humble, she could even if she had one arm tied behind her back against Chin Wa. She is well maintained and is still very hot, playing a mother is too exaggerated. She can play a lover, a step mother, but not a mistress. Because Jimmy earlier had former girlfriend (Mini) Yang Mi, if he has another mistress Cherie would dump me. If Chow Yun Fat would play my Papa it would truly be great. I will leave all that for the director to negotiate!"

Simon Yam makes a movie to help Lam Suet

Jennifer Tse Ting Ting yesterday attended a mobile phone event. Ting Ting said that due to work she and boyfriend Andy Tien (On Chi Kit) rarely saw each other. "We haven't seen each other in 3 weeks, but would video chat everyday."

Ting Ting is still a free agent currently as she is still choosing a new company. "The matter got somewhat dicey. Originally it already had a new direction but the company had personnel changes, now I have to consider further. Brother (Nicholas) Tse Ting Fung hasn't given me any advice, but he has so many ideas. If he opens a film company I definitely would sign with him." Rumored to have signed with Emperor, Ting Ting said, "Because Brother is an Emperor artist, everyone feels that I would sign with it too. I want to work in film, I have also an offer from the U.S. to work there."

Yam Tat Wa would limit his daughter's mobile phone use. He said, "My daughter uses it to listen to songs the most. Earlier I went to English for a commercial shoot and she used her mobile phone to buy books for me remotely." Yam Tat Wa today will head to Beijing and the Changbai Mountain for THE ICEMAN COMETH 3D (3D BING FUNG HUP). Due to the weather change, the production has gone overtime. Yam Tat Wa earlier directed the film CHONG MUK (STOLEN GOOD) and worked with Lam Suet, who was rumored to owe debts. He said, "I would give me more salary to help him with his financial troubles. No one needs to worry, he can fend for himself. He is also working on other movies."

Jazz Lam Opens a Second Cafe, Gives Out Buns & MilkTea to Elders

Last year Jazz Lam and director Tony Tang made a 7 figure investment in opening Lung Fung Cafe in Tai Hang. Earlier this year, they opened another one in Wan Chai. To contribute back to society, Jazz will personally prepare his signature food items - scrambled eggs, pineapple buns and milk tea -- every Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5pm to 6pm from April 25th until the end of the year (Dec 31st). Yesterday it was his first day of dispatch and his good friend Natalie Tong went to help him. He initially planned to start the service at 5:30pm, but an elder woman as already standing outside the door waiting at 5pm. Jazz invited her in and instructed the kitchen to cook up the signature dishes for her to enjoy.

He said: "I prepared 100 pineapple buns and milk teas, but perhaps we didn't do enough promotions, we just had a sign up on the door, so today there was only a handful of elders that came. I'm afraid people may misunderstand and think I'm trying to promote Lung Fung Cafe, but actually I just hope to contribute a little back to society." Some people questioned whether his selling of milk tea in the evening caused the elders to have trouble sleeping. However, there were other residents that left him with cash to show their support. Natalie expressed Jazz is like her big brother, so whenever she has time, she would go help him out.

Fala Chen to Study in the US, Won't Sign a Long Contract with TVB

It's been a while since Fala Chen appeared in public. Yesterday she attended an event with singer Jolie Chan, model Irene Wan and artist Ronan Pak. When speaking of the rumor that Fala is fussing over her expiring contract and isn't willing to renew her TVB contract? She said her old contract was signed back when she participated in MCI and it expires in May. She is currently still discussing with TVB and its going smoothly, but she expressed the contract has nothing to do with her being pregnant or frozen by the company. Fala expressed: "I hope to collaborate with TVB in a different way. Since entering the industry, I've been filming TV series straight and haven't had a real break. I'm currently thinking of my next steps to take. I want to go for additional studies, and have already registered for a summer course in the U.S (You won't be working anymore?) We aren't allowed to study? It is necessary for an artist to increase his/her value too."

Fala added that the most important is a comfortable collaboration. She grew up in TVB, it is about the relationship and the nature of work, not the contract terms/conditions or how long the contract is. Asked if there are other companies asking her to join them? She laughed: "Nope, but I probably won't sign with ATV. (Work in Mainland?) Someone has asked me to shoot a TV series there, but my company has arrangements for my work in Mainland. I hope to have good news for you all."

Moses Chan Buys HK$33million Single Family Home, Ready to Marry Aimee Chan

Moses Chan has been dating Aimee Chan for almost two years, and is often doing things to please her. Earlier Moses flew all the way to Malaysia just to visit her while she shoots TVB series Outbound Love. Moses expressed he is someone with a "stable nature" and "enjoys buying homes that holds value". Moses is currently living in the Bellagio located in Sham Tseng, where he cohabits (rumored) with his girlfriend. However, he's still renting that unit. Last year he started the search for a new home, targeting the beautiful Hong Kong island district, but unfortunately things did not work out. According to yesterday's news from the real estate industry, Moses already made the decision to buy a HK$33 million (~ HK$8,086 per sq ft) single family home (4,000 sq ft) in The Beverly Hills located in Tai Po; paving the road for his marriage.

Since Moses and Aimee started dating, the couple had always paid special attention to their privacy. Last November, a bystander spotted the couple on their secret vacation in France; their picture was taken while they were at the Le Louvre (Paris Museum) and was posted online. However, their trip was considered top secret. Also, the paparazzi captured Aimee feeding Moses in the house. This time, Moses found a luxury single family home, the paparazzi will no longer be able to capture them on camera that easily.

Last night, Moses responded over the phone. He avoided the question of whether he bought the home in preparation to marry Aimee. He said: "Yes, today I did go look at homes, but I don't want to comment too much now. (Buying a new home in preparation for marriage? Plan to use the home as investment or living?) Buying a home is planning for my future. Whether the home is used for investment or living, that is part of the scope of my plans and the reason why I'm buying a home. After all, I'm using it for myself!"
