While his appointment to the 12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) is still a topic of ire among Hong Kong citizens, Jackie Chan is using his newfound advantage in politics to put forward an anti-piracy proposal for the others to act upon.
HK Top Ten blog reported that his manager recently expressed the actor's intentions to attract more attention towards the issue, and despite being clueless about the whole process, the multi talented star still prepared something for his first conference.
His manager stated, "Because this was the first time, he still doesn't know how he should prepare for this
conference. But Jackie had a proposal and the company will took care of it due to his busy schedule. Mainly it reflected the severity of the piracy issue."
Meanwhile, when asked about his expectations for Chinese film, Jackie Chan said, "We need to work even harder, and import more U.S. or foreign high technology to elevate our production quality. The import tax is too high nowadays and it has a lot of impact."
Another star member of the CPPCC, Chinese singer Han Hong revealed that she has prepared two proposals this year - one regarding children in farm villages and another for children welfare laws.
