Leslie Cheung's former manager and good friend, Chan Suk Fun, recently disclosed that she will be revealing an important message from the late actor to his fans at the memorial concert – to be held on 31 March in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of his passing.
As reported on Groove Asia, Chan stated, "I hope that fans of Leslie's would be on time for the 31 March concert. I have a very important message from Leslie to his fans."
When asked what the message would be, Chan stated, "It's what Leslie wanted to say to everyone. It's about himself."
Upon further inquiries about why it was not revealed earlier, Chan explained, "I was afraid of revealing it at first. It has been inside my heart for ten years. Over those ten years I don't know how to express it. But two to three months ago, I suddenly had an idea on how to express the message to everyone. If the message is not said this time, it might never have a chance to be told in this lifetime."
However, Chan claimed that she had only told one person about the message, but denied that the person was Leslie's life partner, Daffy Tong.
Chan also refused to name the singers who will participate at the memorial concert, but stated, "There will be over 15 singers that will perform. Many of them called me themselves and asked if they could participate."
In related news, earlier, Leslie Cheung's fans collected over one million origami cranes and applied for the Guinness World Record. Chan Suk Fun revealed that they have already collected over 2 million origami cranes, stating, "The application was a success, now we are just waiting for an examiner to confirm."
