Veteran actress Sheren Tang surprised many with her recent confession that she had been battling depression while filming "Beauty At War" last year.
As reported on Jayne Stars, the two-time TVB Queen revealed that the unplanned change of scripts as well as the overnight filming caused her undue stress while filming the drama last year, leading to her depression.
However, the actress stated, "As soon as filming wraps up, I felt a little better and lighter. I am fully recovered now and am ready to go back to work after my long break post-filming."
However, actor Bowie Lam, who co-starred with Sheren in 2004's "War And Beauty" revealed that it was not the first time the latter had suffered extreme pressure while filming on set.
The actor revealed that Sheren had cried on set once, stating, "The lines were very hard, especially when we needed to memorise the names of many Chinese herbs. We had more than 40 outtakes one time. One time, I watched a playback scene with Sheren, I heard her crying from afar. It turned out that she thinks that she did not act out the scene well enough."
In related news, Sheren revealed that she will be shuttling between filming in China and promoting "Beauty At War" in Hong Kong, which is slated to air on 22 April.
