"Inbound Troubles" actor-writer, Wong Cho Lam found himself in inbound trouble after updating his Weibo with a controversial comment about the Hong Kong government's recent decision to limit the exports of baby formulas to mainland China.

As reported on Jayne Stars website, the actor was highly criticised when he posted his comments on Weibo, saying, "Hong Kong has a reason to pass down this law. If mainland Chinese milk formula were well-made, their people wouldn't have to come down to Hong Kong to buy it!"

Although the actor deleted the post soon after, the damage is already done, and a lot of mainland netizens were enraged at his supposed insinuation of the low quality of mainland products.

However, Cho Lam quickly clarified in another Weibo post, saying, "Maybe I did not convey my message correctly. How about this: A husband is arguing with his wife. No one knows who is right and wrong. It may have just been a misunderstanding, or the fault is in the problem itself. But the husband says, 'If I didn't give you food and clothes, you would be dead already! Let's see how long you will survive if I stop feeding you water and food!' Will this be able to save a relationship?"

He continued, "We need to respect each other, communicate thoroughly, and love each other. These words are for those who want to maintain their relationships in good health. I hope you will all be great gentlemen!"

Meanwhile, the actor is currently busy filming for his upcoming TVB Qing Dynasty comedy drama, "Food for the Slaves". Cho Lam plays a humble "golden-tongued" chef Ko Tin Po, who later befriends Emperor Yongzheng (Ben Wong) after he is hired as an imperial chef in the Forbidden City.
