"A Great Way To Care II" actor, Alex Fong has made up his mind about signing up with rival stations, and believed that there is nothing that other stations can offer that TVB doesn't already have.
According to Popular Asians, at a promotional event for his upcoming drama that was held in Tsim Sha Tsui's Shangri-La Hotel on 14 March, Alex stated, "I'd rather earn money in mainland China [than join HKTV]. Ricky Wong did reach out to me through a mutual colleague, but working with someone I know is better than working with someone unfamiliar."
The actor was referring to the news of co-star Yoyo Mung's departure to the rival station, HKTV. Earlier, the actress was rumoured to have been dropped from "A Great Way To Care II" promotional activities due to her intentions to leave TVB.
The actress was also absent from the 14 March event that was attended by other cast members, including Tavia Yeung, Edwin Siu and Aimee Chan.
In regards to Yoyo's absence, Alex Fong said, "Big companies have their own set of rules. If she were to wait until after the promotional tour before thinking about moving to a new station, the matter would be less complicated."
However, "A Great Way To Care II" producer, Marco Law insisted that Yoyo is still helping with the promotions, "She did some photo shoots for the drama's official poster. She has reached a consensus with the company. She wants to have better career development and explore her options. I am happy for Yoyo."
"A Great Way To Care II" will pick up where the first series ended. With the help of his team of psychiatrists, senior psychiatrist and criminal psychology expert, Ko Lap Yan (Alex Fong) will aid the Hong Kong police force in cracking a manifold of unusual cases. The drama series will begin airing on 18 March 2013.
