Eric Tsang's 60th birthday is on April 14th. Last night, TVB invested nearly HK$3 million to produce the Happy Eric To You (志在高興 志偉大派對) special, which is an evening banquet to celebrate Eric's birthday early. TVB hosted a 60 table, star-studded party inviting nearly 700 of Eric's good friends from the industry including Kelly Chen, Jay Chou, Carina Lau, Leon Lai, Flora Chan, Alan Tam, Jordan Chan and his pregnant wife Cherrie Ying, Bosco Wong, Liza Wang, Michelle Yim, Michael Miu and his wife Jamie Chik, Michael Tse, Koni Lui, Joyce Tang, Shirley Yeung, Sandra Ng, Niki Chow, Grasshopper, Hacken Lee, Elena Kong, Shirley Kwan and many more. Eric's biggest surprise was his grand daughter came all the way from Canada to celebrate with him. Company executives like Albert Yeung, Mona Fong and Virgina Lok attended as well.

The banquet was held at the HK Convention and Exhibition Centre. There was a giant statue of an animated Eric on the stage, while Eric appeared on stage with his two sons and daughter. When he shared his birthday feelings, he also mentioned the most important in life is to live in the moment. Video footage recorded in Canada of Eric's grand daughter Kvita played on the screen, and then Kvita came on stage to do a dance performance. Eric was very surprised.

Eric had always had a charitable heart. At the party, he made arrangements to donate all the money his friends used to buy birthday gifts to a charity organization. His birthday wish is to establish a charity organization to help the retired senior citizens and other people in need. When asked if Eric plans to reduce his jobs? He said: "I'm already enjoying life, going out traveling with good friends." George Lam was a surprise special guest performer, he shared the past events he had with Eric and performed a few songs.

It was rumored before that Eric is the father of Shirley Kwan's son. Although Shirley didn't bring her son to the party, she generously gave Eric a birthday kiss. She laughed: "You all are always asking about my son, why not just tell Eric to accept him as a god-son. Then we'll all be happy. (Did your son give Eric a birthday gift?) He doesn't know him." Felix Wong has already joined HKTV, but was still invited to the party. He said: "There are no boundaries. Even if I don't get to appear on cameras, then that's fine too. It is the 'Prize Master' 60th birthday, I must come. I just saw Charles Chan (TVB's boss) and greeted him too. This world is round. (Will you go back to TVB?) It's hard to say!" He joked TVB will have to give him a HK$50,000 raise in order for him to go back.

Initially the 3 Heavenly Kings -- Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau and Leon Lai were suppose to perform at the party, but Jacky and Andy had to work so wasn't able to make it. Leon's ex-wife, Gaile Lok was rumored to remarry? Leon declined to comment: "Today is Eric's birthday party, I will not respond to rumors. (Are you dating?) No comment, as long as Eric is happy tonight."
