It was reported that actress Liza Wang has turned down a new TVB drama offer, which was allegedly the third instalment of the "Wars Of In-Laws" series.

According to Popular Asians, the drama, titled "The Vinegar Wife" originally planned for Liza and Bosco as the main leads.

However, at a recent interview, Liza confirmed that she had to turn it down due to a clash in schedules, saying, "[TVB] did some initial discussion with me, but in the end I had to turn it down because I will be working in Canada."

However, the actress stated that "The Vinegar Wife" should not be considered as part of the "Wars Of In-Laws" series, clarifying, "This time, it will not centre on the jealousy between mother-in-laws and daughter-in-laws, but will revolve around the real vinegar that we eat."

This is a clarification to the homonym in Chinese, whereby 'eating vinegar' and 'jealous' sounds the same.

The actress added, "The story is completely different from the previous two instalments."

Meanwhile, "Wars Of In-Laws", was the 2005 TVB Best Drama that successfully propelled the careers of its stars – Myolie Wu and Bosco Wong. It also won Liza the Best Actress award for her role, Princess Sheok Lan.
