Sonija Kwok's marriage woes?

Actress Sonija Kwok has stepped up and quelled rumours of marriage troubles with husband, action choreographer-turned-director, Zhu Shaojie.

According to Popular Asians website, the Pan Asian beauty recently clarified through her Weibo that the tabloid reports were nonsense and that she is still as happy as ever with her husband and daughter, Kylie.

Earlier, the Hong Kong tabloids claimed that Sonija's marriage was in danger as the actress had to be the major breadwinner for her family after Shaojie was unsuccessful in receiving any other directing jobs after his directorial debut, "Feng Huo Jia Ren" in late 2012.

Reports stated that Sonija was stressed out as she had to pay out the mortgage of her HKD5.6 million home, which costs at least HKD37,000 per month, as well as her hospital bills back when she gave birth to Kylie in May 2012.

It was also alleged that Shaojie has been living in mainland China to receive job offers, and that the long-distance relationship took a toll on the couple.

To this, the "L'Escargot" actress wrote, "Some garbage tabloid is worried about my marriage. It's been a while since I've last made a statement because I am now working as a full-time mother but they are raising waves with no wind."

The 38-year-old actress continued, "To all my concerned friends, my family is doing well. [I also want to] thank the magazine's concerns. I don't need to show off my love every day."

Sonija ended the message with a new photo of herself, Shaojie, and Kylie smiling at the camera. Several celebrity friends such as Ada Choi, Charmaine Sheh, Steven Ma and Mimi Wong also stepped up to support her.
