TVB celebrated their 45th anniversary (Nov. 19th) last night at the annual TVB Anniversary Gala show. TVB actively competed with Ricky Wong's unlicensed CTI and came out as the 'King of HK Television'. Yesterday TVB got a full page of advertisements on several newspapers and magazines, showing off their many years of contributions to the HK television industry and they plan to invest $10 billion in the future on their business. Last night, Dodo Cheng led the group of artists to say the 34 character statement: "What we need is a stable operation and service environment for a free-to-air TV station to survive in this industry and for continual development." The message was to let the government know their position on free-to-air television licenses.

Yesterday TVB published an advertisement that took up the whole page on several newspapers and magazines stating that in the past 45 years, TVB have contributed in spreading Hong Kong culture to the society and Chinese populations all over the world. Besides the 34 character statement to the government, TVB also announced last night that they have established a "TVB Artistes Charitable Fund" to help third world countries, including those who have sudden financial difficulties, those in poverty and care for the elder. Currently the fund has already raised HK$30 million and the movement will begin next year.

105 year old former chairman Sir Run Run did not attend the anniversary, but Eric Tsang expressed he's at home watching the show. Executive chairman Norman Leung responded to the free-to-air TV license issue: "TVB just wants to know from the government, anyone who applies for a TV free-to-air license can get one? How many licenses will be issued then? It is most significant that TVB has a stable environment to develop further. I am the executive chairman, I want to know how many more free-to-air licenses will be issued in the future? I have to have answers for our shareholders and a business plan for the future. When our license expires in 2015, we will renew it."

The anniversary performances didn't have many surprises. Kate Tsui, Rebecca Zhu, Mandy Wong, Christine Kuo and other beautiful girls performed "Goddesses Falls for the Net", where they did a dance on the net. The girls were dressed rather conservatively and there wasn't much to look at. After Kate finished her performance, she started crying and said: "I'm so touched, I finally completed this performance. The rehearsal was truly difficult and I got many injuries."

Most of the attention was on the 'heavy after taste' parody skits for anniversary series Silver Spoon Sterling Shackles (SSSS) and The Confidant. The male artists including Moses Chan, Wayne Lai, Roger Kwok and Michael Tse did the male version of SSSS and disguised themselves as the four wives. Nat Chan played Damian Lau's character. The four "wives" acted very girly and surrounded Nat trying to kiss him. Kristal Tin pretended to be an eunuch from The Confidant, she took out a knife and pretended as if she was going to "castrate" Nancy Sit and then she suddenly took out a banana and started cutting it madly. Law Lan, Ching Ho Wai and Mary Hon were dressed as wild cat girls, shocking the audience.

When it was time for the games, Moses had to sit on his girlfriend Aimee Chan's lap, which frightened him so much he almost fell over, but Aimee hugged her lover tightly on her lap. Ruco Chan was asked to sit on sexy JJ Jia's lap. However, he only sat on the side, but still he almost crushed JJ. Aimee pretended to be Mrs. Chan and pushed the 'baby' Moses off. Then Moses miserably got milk powder and ground coffee splattered all over him and Aimee tried to defend her boyfriend and blocked it. The lucky money gift winners of the night were Wayne Lai, who won a $1 million prize and Raymond Lam won

Macy Chan Got Plastic Surgery?

Yesterday Macy Chan was dressed in a black dress, but the most shocking was to see her facial appearance was significantly different from the past. We almost couldn't recognize her. Macy's eyes turned bigger and longer, her nose is higher and her V-shaped face turned into ice cream cone shaped. When asked if she got plastic surgery? Macy laughed: "Definitely! No no. I'm just speaking the opposite. My nose is higher because my make-up artist gave me a '3D nose', so it can stand out more. My face is sharper because I slept well. Recently, I've been filming and have been waking up and sleeping early. I've lost 17 pounds." She frankly expressed every person has their own rights to love beauty, so she won't criticize those who have gotten plastic surgery done. She said when she gets older, she will consider getting plastic surgery. When asked whether her boyfriend Eric Suen can recognize her or not? She said: "No, we see each other every day."
