Charmaine Sheh has signed with the new Hong Kong-based management agency MediaQuiz after discontinuing her management contract with TVB, but it seems that her old company is trying to get her back to boost up their TV ratings, according to Jayne Stars.
Despite being approached by both HKTV and TVB's collaborators, Charmaine still chose to sign with MediaQuiz, as she plans to shift her acting career to mainland China. The company also recruited former TVB actress Bernice Liu and actor Joe Ma.
However, the 37-year-old is still close to TVB, as the star still has 20 episodes of drama series to be filmed with TVB.
The actress has also revealed her interest to pair up with Dayo Wong for the sequel of their successful comedy drama "You're Hired" if the project is confirmed.
"Charmaine is interested, but TVB has provisos. They want Charmaine to sign a long-term contract. Not many people are like Kevin Cheng. He has the qualifications to turn down TVB's offers. After all, he is earning RMB 500,000 per episode in China. On the other hand, Charmaine may not get these benefits if she signs with TVB," a source said.
