TVB announced in the next 5 years, they will switch to marketing research company Nielsen HK to conduct their TV rating reports. The current 650 households, 1800 people sample group will increase to a sample of 800 households, 3200 people. Apparently, this is the only recognized company in the industry and they use many advanced technologies to conduct their research. Many advertisement companies and media outlets are their clients. It is believed, Nielsen can provide a rating report that is even accurate.
