The 3rd Beijing International Film Festival closing ceremony and Tiantan Award presentation ceremony were held in Beijing last night, the organizer specially changed the traditional red carpet to a blue carpet to mourn the victims of the Ya’an, Sichuan earthquake.
This year, the organizer invited many celebrities from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan to be prize presenters, they includes Andy Lau, Jackie Chan, Lin Chi-ling, Nicholas Tse, Miriam Yeung, Aaron Kowk, Christy Chung, Charlie Yeung, Nick Cheung, Jay Chou, Yuen Woo-ping, Chen Kaige and Keanu Reeves. Most of the celebrities dressed up in black and white for the almost 2 hours blue carpet ceremony.
The handsome and beauty combination of Andy and Lin Chi-ling, both dressed in black became the highlight of the night when they walked down the blue carpet.
At the Tiantan Award presentation ceremony, Andy and Lin Chi-ling were the prize presenter for the Best Actor award as they made an appearance together for the second time. Andy joked on stage: “Coming to Beijing International Film Festival was to accompany her (Lin Chi-ling) to present the award,” this exclaim brought the atmosphere of the ceremony to new heights. They then announce the winner which went to Terence Stamp from the film Song For Marion who was absent for the ceremony.
Meanwhile, Andy had earlier wrote on his website with regards to the Ya’an, Sichuan earthquake: “The earth shook again, everyone is anxious, use love and movements, we can go through together! Let’s pray for the victims in Sichuan.”
