Mainland's reality TV diving show, Celebrity Splash!, is a highly rated and much talked about show. The star-studded show features Hong Kong canto-pop singer Charlene Choi Cheuk-yin, South Korean K-pop star Chae Yeon and mainland singer Abao as contestants. Martial artist Shi Xiaolong's 18 year old assistant Peng Jiaxuan drowned on Friday (4/19th) during a training session for the show. Due to the accident, Charlene Choi's fans urged her to withdraw from the show, but her manager Mani Fok decided to keep her in the contest after reviewing the safety measures.

HK actor Anthony Wong, known for his straightforward nature, exploded on Weibo last night: "There were mishaps in this diving show, it is a life threatening show, have you all thought clearly about it?" Minutes later, Anthony made another post: "I suggest the celebrities go jump off a building, see who has a bigger life. The TV ratings will get even better then!" Anthony scolded the TV production and how its trying to boost ratings. Producing a diving show, then why not just tell celebrities to jump off a building. Actually, Anthony just joined EEG and probably didn't know about his colleague Charlene Choi being one of the contestants on the show, his comments led to an awkward situation. Anthony's explode on Weibo attracted nearly 10,000 replies . Netizens attacked the TV show producers, criticizing that their show can kill somebody and requested Anthony to try and convince Ah Sa to withdraw on Mani's behalf.

Reporters contacted Mani Fok to comment. She expressed she already talked to Anthony: "He's a straightforward person. He thought someone lost their life because of diving. I already told him the story and the cause. Perhaps there are too many rumors and gossips going around in the public, which has complicated the situation . Anthony was confused himself." Mani stressed she decided to let Ah Sa participate in the show because there is a national instructor there as guidance. The organizers also knows about Ah Sa's waist injuries, so she will not have any dangerous actions. Ah Sa insisted on participating because the show is for charity purposes. She also wanted to overcome her fear of heights. Once Ah Sa advances to the next round, she will listen to the doctor's recommendations before considering whether she should continue in the contest or not. Mani expressed: "Ah Sa's health and safety always comes first."

Denise Ho said on Weibo: "Artists and singers are not athletes. How is it possible that they can just receive a few lessons and compete in a sport that requires so much professional training? Diving from 10 metres high is way too dangerous!" (Read more on South China Morning Post)
