Despite producer Jonathan Chik's earlier departure from TVB, the station broke tradition and invited him to the press conference of his final TVB drama, "Beauty at War".

Popular Asians website reported that in order to generate buzz for the new series, TVB invited their former executive producer, Jonathan Chik, to the event to speak on the experience and the behind-the-scenes story in the making of the "War and Beauty" sequel.

At the event, Jonathan addressed earlier speculations and clarified that Charmaine Sheh will not be making a guest appearance in "Beauty at War", stating, "I did invite Charmaine and Bowie Lam to film several recollection scenes, but the two were unable to participate due to schedule conflicts."

The former TVB producer also expressed his hopes that his last TVB production will also be his best, and did not deny the possibility of working with TVB again in the future.

Meanwhile, Sheren Tang revealed that she has been anxious about the premiere of "Beauty at War", as it has been nine years since the first drama was aired on television.

The actress expressed, "I am nervous about the premiere next Monday night. I have waited nine years for this sequel and am excited to see the new production."

The actress also denied rumours of an originally planned plot of a lesbian relationship between Consort Yu and her wet nurse Sheung Ling, (played by Ada Choi), saying that she, Ada, and Moses will be involved in a love triangle this time around.
