Lydia Shum's daughter, actress Joyce Cheng, laughed off rumours that she may have turned the allegedly gay Alfred Hui straight!
As reported on Popular Asians, a tabloid recently reported that Joyce and Alfred went on a vacation in Taiwan recently and spent five days and four nights together in a honeymoon spa suite.
It was also reported that the pair was seen behaving intimately with each other on their flight home to Hong Kong, sparking rumours that they may be in a relationship.
Earlier reports had already hinted that the 24-year-old pop singer is gay after intimate photos of Alfred and close male friend kissing in the park were published last year. Following news of Alfred and Joyce's supposed romantic getaway, speculations arise that the actress may have turned him straight.
However, on 23 January, Joyce posted a hilarious picture of her and Alfred pointing at each other and looking quizzically at the camera on Weibo, signifying their confusion with the latest rumour.
The actress stated, "Yes, Alfred and I had taken a vacation together to absorb the local music scene in Taiwan. But we slept in separate rooms."
The 25-year-old actress also added that she is currently single and considers Alfred as a younger brother.
She expressed, "People who knew us will know that we are not dating. If we were dating, it would not be so high profile. He is not my cup of tea. I like to drink coffee. Dating him would seem incestuous. It's impossible!"
