Sheren Tang recently took a stab at the media for continuously making false reports regarding her working relationship with the cast and crew of palace drama, "Beauty At War".
Popular Asians reported that recently, a tabloid claimed that the actress regretted filming the "War And Beauty" sequel after finding out that the series failed to capture audiences' attention with its confusing plot, resulting in an unimpressive 18 points in ratings.
The tabloid also stated that Sheren had criticised the production team for not having the script ready and TVB in not including her in the drama's promotional events, as well as alleging that she has been having problems with co-star, Christine Ng.
Fed-up with the constant fabricated reports, the actress defended herself via Weibo, and fired back, "Nine years ago, with "War And Beauty", the tabloids accused me of not getting along with other female co-stars. Nine years later, the media still put [me] on the cusp, and comparing myself with the tactics of Consort Yu in the drama."
Sheren claimed that the rumours are damaging to the cast, saying "[Beauty At War] talks about how spreading rumours are like committing invisible murders, but in real life, there are also [rumours of me] refusing to participate in promotional events because of poor ratings, and not getting along with [Christine Ng]. The theme of "Beauty At War" is so realistic; if it cannot be understood, then wouldn't [the viewers] have fallen to evil intentions?"
