The cast of "Beauty At War" recently gave their two cents regarding the low ratings received by the drama that was far from the success of the 2004 original, "War And Beauty".

As reported on Jayne Stars, with the drama dropping an all-time low of 19 points and viewers blaming the drama's confusing plot to be the cause, its main stars, Sheren Tang, Ada Choi and Moses Chan expressed their own opinions regarding the drama's shocking lacklustre reception.

Lead actress Sheren Tang revealed that she doesn't care about ratings and is more focused on how much a series improves her acting skills, saying, "It's like that time I filmed "The Intangible Truth" with Roger Kwok and Esther Kwan. The ratings were so low that it was nearly cancelled, but I enjoyed it a lot as it sharpened my acting chops."

On the other hand, Ada Choi disclosed that she was slightly disappointed, but is not too focused on the ratings alone, stating, "I believe that the quality is more significant than the ratings. Jonathan was never one to direct mainstream dramas. Success doesn't necessarily have to be measured by how many awards you get or how good the ratings are!"

When it was told that viewers blamed the confusing plot to be the cause of the drama's low ratings, Ada joked, "But even the granny at the grocery store understand it!"

Meanwhile, Moses Chan admits that the plot may have been too deep for some viewers, but it does not mean it is a bad series, stating simply, "The ratings for my series could be over 40 points, but it doesn't matter if I am not proud of it."
