After the failure of Wayne Lai's "Bullet Brain", it seems that the new drama taking over the time slot may have the chance to become the next big breakout drama this season.

As reported on Jayne Stars, Leung Choi Yuen's "Slow Boat Home" may have only aired two of its episodes, but the reception was nothing less than impressive, with viewers praising the drama for its youthfulness and positivity.

"Slow Boat Home" is a romantic comedy drama that takes place in Cheung Chau. Actor Raymond Wong plays the leading role, a 28-year-old seemingly hopeless freeloader named Cheung Po Tsai who always causes trouble for his father.

Cheung Po Tsai is also friends with city doctor, Fit Wing (Ruco Chan), and the local mailman, Shuttle (Matt Yeung), and together they are known as the 'Cheung Chau jewels'. However, Cheung Po Tsai's life gets an immediate twist when Fit Wing's high school sweetheart, Heidi (Selena Li), returns to Cheung Chau to work on a mysterious business project.

In addition to the series' change from TVB's darker dramas recently, viewers were also full of praises for the casting, and complimented Raymond, Ruco, and Matt for giving a realistic performance.

The 25-episode drama also stars Aimee Chan, Elaine Yiu, Elliot Ngok, Ram Chiang, Oceane Zhu and Cheung Kwok Keung.
