Veteran artist Kong Ngai earlier passed away due to illness. When he worked on the film OVERHEARD 2 (SIT TING FUNG WON 2) he was rumored to have an ocean jump scene, for which he asked for a double to no avail and ended up with an injury. Director Alan Mak Siu Fai was surprised and denied it. He said, "First we didn't make any ocean jump scene, secondly even if we had this scene I definitely wouldn't let him personally perform it." The director expressed regret over Kong Ngai's passing, he would pay his respect at the funeral.
