Actress Miriam Yeung recently dismissed rumours of her matchmaking stint, stating that she is "a mother, not a matchmaker".
As reported on Groove Asia website, amidst the buzz about Louis Koo's two-year relationship with Taiwanese actress Joe Chen, it was reported that they were actually introduced by Miriam, who was close friends with both Louis and Joe.
Speaking to the media at a UNICEF event in Shenzhen, Miriam was surprised at hearing her name being associated with the rumour.
When being told about her matchmaking the two stars, the actress stated, "Really? After 16 years in show business, this is the first time I hear about this. I am not sure whether other people are dating; I just know that my nine month old son isn't!"
Asked to clarify about her involvement in Louis Koo and Joe Chen's relationship, Miriam stated, "Honestly, I knew a lot of other people other than them. If they were 'matched' just like that, it's too coincidental. This is a beautiful misunderstanding!"
Miriam also revealed that she and Louis will work together on a new film, but has not heard about him dating.
Praising Louis Koo's progress in his mainland ventures, she joked, "Louis' fluency in Mandarin has improved a lot. But that's because he has been spending more time on mainland productions, not because of his 'personal coach', Joe Chen."
