Although their broadcasting license is still pending approval, HKTV recently announced the release of their latest drama, "The Menu".

As reported on Jayne Stars, on 20 March, the cast and crew of HKTV's new television drama, "The Menu" held a blessing ceremony and spoke to the media about the direction that the drama is taking.

According to its producer, "The Menu", starring Kate Yeung, Catherine Chau and Noel Leung, revolves around the topic of Hong Kong press and the ethics of press censorship and control.

A source stated, "For mass appeal, "The Menu" will also incorporate elements of thriller and suspense, with stories concerning the sacrifices that must be taken in order to strive in the press industry's deadline-driven environment."

Directed by TVB's former director, Fong Chun Wah, Kate Yeung, Catherine Chau, and Noel Leung star as three news reporters who clash with each other due to their different ideologies in news reporting. While the editor-in-chief will not hesitate to exaggerate news to gain attention and profit, the hot-blooded news director and reporter will do anything to reveal the injustices of society.

"The Menu" is written by former TVB scriptwriter Poon Man Hung, best known for her work in "Armed Reaction 2", while former TVB scriptwriter Lam Siu Chi of "Can't Buy Me Love" fame, will serve as the drama's creative director.
