It was reported that "Beauty at War" actress Sheren Tang had turned down her starring role in Eric Tsang's upcoming television drama for TVB, "Aerobic Girls".

Jayne Stars website revealed that recently the actress has decided to forgo the highly-anticipated drama due to scheduling conflicts. However, a report of late stated that it was not her schedule that hindered her participation, but her recurrent mood disorder.

A source claimed, "Sheren developed a mood disorder after shooting "War and Beauty" in 2003. Due to the emotionally demanding role as Consort Yu, as well as Jonathan and Chow Yuk Ming's upsetting habit of handing out "flying scripts" (constantly rewritten scripts), Sheren was highly distressed."

The insider continued that the actress' mental health improved over the years, even admitted her struggles with a mood disorder in an earlier televised interview with Pastor Enoch Lam. However, the problem returned during the 2012 filming of the sequel, "Beauty at War".

Even her co-star, Kenny Wong admitted, saying, "Sheren's role was to connect the two instalments together. She had the most lines, the most scenes, and had it was rougher than most of us."

Consequently, after agreeing to film the drama in March, Sheren had to turn down Eric Tsang's "Aerobic Girl", the drama that will also cast comeback stars Flora Chan and Teresa Mo, in April.

The actress has yet to comment about the new rumour.
