After a long recuperation period at home ever since being diagnosed with cancer, comedian Cheung Tat Ming recently took a break from his cooped up life and was spotted meeting friends in Kowloon.

As reported on Popular Asians website, the actor, who was dressed in his usual vested garb and a cap, was spotted having high tea and catching up with friends, Vincent Kok and Dayo Wong.

He also cheerfully waved at reporters standing close by when noticed that he was being observed.

Meanwhile, it was rumoured that TVB had asked Dayo Wong to persuade Tat Ming to make an appearance on television. Asked to comment about filming for TVB, Tat Ming said, "A singer who is only left with 70 percent of his capabilities can only sing for leisure. He will only hurt himself if he holds a concert impulsively."

"Right now, I want to focus on my health, so the only thing I want to do is rest," he added.

The group of friends stayed for four hours and even talked about their meet-up on Weibo. Tat Ming posted, "Happy tea time! Filled with laughter and wisdom. Great! Let's meet again!"

Shortly after, Vincent also posted, "It was a non-stop 4 hours of laughing and eating. It's been so long since I have had such a good time!"
