The Hong Kong singer has been criticised for his actions at his Macau concert
Cantopop star Samuel Hui became talk of the town when he walked down the stage and passionately kissed a female fan at his recent concert in Macau. The entire incident was captured on video cameras and played on the big screens in the arena.
Although the 64-year-old explained that the fan's exceptional passion made him 'so excited that he got carried away', he has been blasted by netizens for the 'inappropriate behaviour'.
Despite the controversial act, Samuel impressed the crowd as he sang and danced to over 40 songs at the concert. Three years since his last concert in Macau, the singer included a special memorial segment in his show, in remembrance of his late older brother Ricky Hui and iconic star Leslie Cheung.
While performing the song '˜Silence is Golden' which was originally sang and written by Leslie, he said, 'I really miss this pretty boy who formed the melody in his head because he didn't know how to compose.'
'It's a beautiful song,' added Samuel, who also wrote the lyrics to the track.
Turning teary-eyed as he spoke of his late brother, the singer said, 'Even though Ricky has left us for 17 months, I still miss him very much.'
