Following Ekin Cheng and Yoyo Mung’s return to Hong Kong after their low-key wedding in Tokyo last Monday, more images from their big night have been revealed.

Among the newly surfaced photos, a picture of the newlywed’s Notice of Intended Marriage form drew attention as it stated that the couple had submitted their marriage registration form last December. Ekin and Yoyo officially became husband and wife on January 28, after singing the papers within three months of the registration.

Both of them shed tears of happiness during the solemnisation ceremony which was held in a traditional setup. The event was a simple and cosy affair that did away with “gate-crash” games or wedding pranks, and the French restaurant where the wedding took place, was said to be recommended by a good friend of Yoyo’s.

Sources revealed that the newlywed originally intended to announce their marriage when they return to Hong Kong, but their plans were brought forward when a Chinese student recognised the celebrity couple in the restaurant and revealed the good news ahead of time.

It was previously reported that the wedding was attended by an exclusive guest list of 40 people. While Ekin’s folks were present, his in-laws were unable to witness the union as the elderly pair were unfit for travel. Subsequently, Yoyo’s manager commented that the couple will hold another round of celebrations in Hong Kong for relatives and friends who could not make it to Tokyo.
