Speaking to the media at the Chief Minister of Perak's Chinese New Year open house on 10 February, the actress stated that despite several speculations about her wedding to fiancé, International Automobile Federation (FIA) president Datuk Seri Jean Todt, they have yet to make any decisions regarding the event.

According to the NST website, the actress stated, "I am only planning for the wedding. I am always very happy to plan but so far we don't have a date and a venue yet. That is why we have to plan, as both of us are very busy with our work commitments."

The actress thanked fans and the media for showing their interest in her relationship, but expressed, "Just be happy for us and we will be very happy."

Asked if the Year of the Snake will be a good year for her to get married, Yeoh said, "It would be a very good year for my career, but I don't know if the year is good for marriage. We'll see about that."

In related news, Michelle Yeoh's latest movie, "Final Recipe" should be released either in April or May this year. The movie, which is set in Singapore, was previously titled "Cook Tales" and will see the actress play a TV producer pitting local chefs against each other.

The actress enthused, "We are hoping to get it ready for the Cannes Film Festival that will be held in May."
