"The Confidant" actor, Wayne Lai, had a great 2012 highlighted by his win of the TV King title at the TVB Anniversary Awards last year. And the actor is motivated to do the same in the Year of the Snake with continuous hard work.
As reported on Jayne Stars website, while speaking to the media recently, the actor expressed that he firmly believes in success depending upon one's own effort, rather than luck.
The actor, who received the TV King title for three years, dismissed the idea that he has been lucky in his career after moving to his new house five years ago, stating, "It's not about feng shui. Everything is just proceeding smoothly. If the seafood isn't fresh in the first place, it won't have a good flavour even if the best soy sauce is used. In the end, it's all about your own effort. You can't just sit there and wait for luck."
For the Year of the Snake, Wayne has decided to celebrate the festivities with his family members, knowing well that he has limited time to enjoy the holiday.
The actor revealed, "My schedule has already been packed with work. In addition to a Lunar New Year Festival program for Shanghai TV, I have to fly back to the mainland for a performance. Then I have to attend a horse racing event as a guest."
Speaking about his resolution, the actor stated, "I hope to do well in the upcoming drama, "Rosy Business 3" with my new partner, Myolie Wu, I have a lot of expectations for this series since the previous two instalments were a huge success."
