TVB awarded staff with bonuses

TVB is expected to be generous with their artistes "red packet" giveaway this year with its achievement and profits exceeding the previous year.

Groove Asia website reported that a representative from TVB recently revealed that the company promised to increase employees' bonuses, with their staff of 2000 to receive 1.25 to 2.25 months worth of bonuses.

According to the rep, "All behind the scenes and on-scene staff should be able to share the company's achievement, so this year we will be giving out an "Extra Special Bonus", also known as the lucky red envelopes. As of today, this bonus should be in the artistes' accounts."

It was further explained that all contracted artistes will be awarded with six thousand extra bonuses, and other contracted employees will receive a three thousand extra bonus.

Meanwhile, speaking to the media at the Bio-Essence event, actress Linda Chung stated, "TVB is improving very much, and they allowed me to have some extra time to make money for the New Years."

Regarding the bonuses, she enthused, "I'm very happy. The company has a warm heart, especially with the HKD450 for celebrating the anniversary. It is such a good gimmick. I wish for the company to have more business. As for myself, I will continue to work hard."
